Just around the corner now, this celebration of the enduring popularity of Hello Kitty is scheduled to run from 31 October 2014 to 2 November 2014 at SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN Nusajaya. It will be a fun-filled three-day carnival where Hello Kitty fans can look forward to an immersive experience with Hello Kitty exclusive opportunities and limited edition merchandise.

This beloved icon is set to share her 40th Anniversary celebration with her fans through four major highlights consisting of the Hello Kitty Friends Gathering, Hello Kitty Friends Fiesta, Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk and Hello Kitty Friends Rock Concert.
Hello Kitty Friends Gathering
The Hello Kitty Friends Gathering event will play host to the first and largest Hello Kitty fan gathering in Southeast Asia and is expected to be a record-breaking gathering as fans come together in an attempt to create a record around the largest gathering of Hello Kitty fans taking a selfie. Attempting to make record history over this 40th Anniversary milestone, Hello Kitty fans from all over Southeast Asia are expected to make their way to SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN Nusajaya to celebrate with Hello Kitty herself. As part of the gathering, participants will receive an exclusive SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN red bow and a Malaysian Book of Records certificate.

Hello Kitty Friends Fiesta
Free to enter, the Hello Kitty Friends Fiesta promises the largest and most exciting Hello Kitty-themed Street Fiesta that offers a little something for everyone. Fans of Hello Kitty will be able to view collections of limited edition merchandise, mix and mingle with other ardent Hello Kitty fans, purchase Hello Kitty memorabilia and enjoy the festive fun of carnival food and activities.
To add to the excitement, fashion brand Kitschen will be revealing their new Hello Kitty apparel line and will be putting the items up for purchase over the three days. Also making a guest appearance at the fiesta will be renowned cosplay duo Hana and Baozi whom will also be running an exclusive make-up workshop. The pair will also be judging the open cosplay contest being held on the last day of the fiesta, where the top three cosplay outfits will each walk away with a Kitschen voucher worth RM500.
Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk
Mentored by Gillian Hung, President of Malaysia Official Designer’s Association (“MODA”), ten up and coming designers will battle it out with their Hello Kitty inspired fashion designs on the grand stage at the Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk Finale set for November 1st in the heart of SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN Nusajaya.
The culmination of the Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk Fashion Design Competition that has been ongoing since August, the top ten designers from the preliminary rounds will be showcasing their two-piece collection made up of unique and creative party wear designs inspired by the life, style and designs of Hello Kitty.
The winning designer will walk away with a grand cash prize of RM 5,000.
Hello Kitty Friends Rock Concert
In the Hello Kitty Friends Rock concert, Hello Kitty will be rocking it with several of her idol friends coming together from near and far just to make her birthday party an occasion not to be missed. Catch the birthday girl as she shares the stage with popular Malaysian Pop Punk band BunkFace, Malaysian J-Rock band Fly1ng Pan, Rock Hip Hop outfit Dragon Red, Electro Groove Band Fazz and Anime Song cover singer Huei Chan.
To add to the excitement and Hello Kitty atmosphere of things, concert-goers who come dressed in their best Hello Kitty themed outfit will stand the chance to walk away with RM2000 in cash. To be eligible for the contest, all contestants need to do is to purchase a Hello Kitty Friends Rock Concert ticket at RM30 and to be present during the concert in the concert zone for judging.

Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary
As one of the only official Hello Kitty experiences outside Japan, this three-day 40th Anniversary celebration promises to be the focal point for the celebrations in Southeast Asia and will be the place for fans to meet, share and bond with one another.
Exclusively for the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Celebration period, SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN will be open from 10am to 8pm, extending their operation hours by two hours in lieu of the celebrations. The SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN Red Bow Café and merchandise store will likewise extend their hours and will also be open from 10am to 10pm during the three days.
